Due to their whimsical and often wayward nature, many of the more stoic clans view the Kitsune as unreliable rogues, but their friends simply see them as wise tricksters.

Honor is of extraordinary importance to the Tora, and they pursue it and defend it with the utmost of their fiery passion.

The Tora have applied their fiercely competitive nature to the arena of the mind in the same way that they compete physically. Combined with their mountainous homeland, this inquisitive competitiveness has shaped the Tora into the preeminent smiths and alchemists in all Kagejima. Tora weapons are finely forged and their understanding of alchemical reactions is unsurpassed, leading them to make, not only the first firearms on the island, but the finest as well.

House Rules

  • Tie Game - In the event of a tie, both teams lose. They earn the Koban for a loss but their score sheet is marked "Draw". The Moon Princess accepts only the best!
  • Self-Injury - If an attacker or defender is forced to self-injure themselves in combat by selecting a detrimental result from their own pool, their opponent is awarded the 'kill'. If the attacker or defender self-injures themselves as a result of their own ability, their opponent does not get credit. There's a fine line between bravery and stupidity.
  • Poison - Official Ruling - Only one poison check is made/turn, even if the model has X+ stacks.
  • Moon Card Timing - Unless explicitly stated, the Moon Enhanced half of the card must be played with the same timing/restrictions as the upper half of card.
  • MV Related Bonus Requirements - In order to benefit from bonus, model must move into new positions with each step. Onward with great momentum!
  • Breaking Stealth - Any non-dodge Affinity check or non-Stealthy action will break stealth. Sorry passive spell casting Madoushis! Or Fortunate people! Or Tough people! Or people searching chests...
  • Stealth Line of Sight - Official Ruling - Stealth models can't assist or force dodges. They still draw LOS to enemies to prevent Stealth action.
  • Shrines - Official Ruling - Only one affinity test is made when moving into a shrine's influence, regardless of how many affected squares you move/are pushed.
  • Dodging - One dodge attempt per enemy influenced space, regardless of how many overlapping enemies there are. If check is failed, the model's controller may assign facing before losing it's activation.
  • Injury & Tokens - Model loses all tokens when sent to the healing house. You don't keep your stuns, curses, lucks, etc!
  • Redirection - Offical Ruling - You cannot select the original shooter as a redirect target. The player redirecting will roll dice for the new target. Use the force, Uke!
  • Search Mission - Crates are placed up to 2 spaces from the center horizontal line dividing the map, more than 2 spaces from any other crate. (2 player mode only.) Add one die per assisting friendly model when searching. Be merciful, oh mighty dice kami!
  • Samurai Sentries - Samurai do not assist ninjas in combat. Samurai are not affected by Shrines. Samurai may retaliate against attackers in their back influence zone. What they lack in intelligence, they make up in honour.
